Thanksgiving Traditions

Thanksgiving is such a wonderful holiday.

A time to share with others out of our abundance.

A time to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for...
So many ways to count our blessings.

It's also a time for traditions...

Our family always gets up in time for a family breakfast on
Thanksgiving morning.

The week before I make a family favorite,
cinnamon rolls, and freeze them for
the holiday breakfast.

They are the highlight including
scrambled eggs and bacon, juice, and that all important coffee.

We often travel to my husband's family on Thanksgiving,
but this year we're hosting some of his family.

It's fun getting out my pretties for holiday dinners.

I love using my Grandmother's china and silver that
was given to me when I got married.

Another tradition...

We...as in Mr. Chateau Chic...cook our bird on the grill.
We learned this from friends when we lived in the Chicago area.

Makes for a very tasty turkey!

I trust that each of you, my friends, have a wonderful
Thanksgiving as you gather with family and friends.

And let's not forget God's goodness and faithfulness
no matter what challenges we are facing.

Blessings as we anticipate the Christmas Season,

Mary Alice

  8. I think your holiday breakfast tradition is wonderful! Since my turkey is in the oven very early, I usually buy sweet rolls and coffee cake. Your cinnamon rolls look heavenly...if you share the recipe they would be great on Christmas, as we go away for dinner.

Your table is just lovely, every little detail. You must feel very sentimental using your grandmother's dishes, they are beautiful!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

    XO,
    Jane
