I knew I wanted green and white on my dining room mantel.
Does that constitute a plan?
I've been seeing so much of the beautiful combination of green and white
around blogland this year that I must be on the right track.
What better way to anchor the mantel in white than the use of ironstone?
The humbleness of the large tureen without a lid is a favorite...not just
because I found it for $5...but because of the simplicity of its lines.
Of course, I had to add some pops of red...I knew
I couldn't stick to just green and white.
Maybe next year I'll read the memo about simplifying!
I'm so happy you stopped by,
Mary Alice

ReplyDeleteHi Mary-Alice. Define the word 'simplify' for me, please. I don't think I know what that means. I start out knowing, but it gets lost somewhere along the way!! Your mantle is just beautiful and I don't think is needs any simplification!.Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeletevery fresh and festive!
ReplyDeleteI love it, Mary Alice! I love green and white together ~ it is so fresh and classic looking to me. Your ironstone pieces are perfect for this. I'm finding that simple means different things to different people. Having only used about 1/3 of my decorations this year, that is simple to me, yet some people have said "simple?".
ReplyDeleteI love all the vintage touches Mary Alice.
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous, I love the bottle brush trees, I just adore them. All the other touches are fantastic.
