Let's talk pillows...
Decorative pillows, that is!
Decorative pillows, that is!
Definitely not my forte...up there with lamps
and window treatments.
For the longest time, I had two of these floral pillows on my sofa
in the family room...all by their lonesome.
Since we gave the walls a fresh coat of paint, I decided it was time
to give my sofa a little facelift and add a couple more pillows.
I added two grain sack pillows from Rust and Feathers to add to the floral ones.
Of course we all know...always decorate with odd numbers!
So I went on the hunt for the odd number pillow
that would mix with the other four.
I think I was successful...What do you think?
Please tell me they work together because I already cut off the tags!
Thanks for stopping by,
Mary Alice

thanks for sharing your beautiful house
have a nice weekend
They look great together, Mary Alice. I love those two new ones you got, and they make for a nice break between the middle one and the two corner florals. I have way too many pillows, but I like using them to make a quick change up for a little bit of money. Especially if I just make my own with fabric I've got on hand.
ReplyDeleteperfect!! I'm a pillow loving freak!
ReplyDeleteYes, everything looks great as always! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Hi, Mary Alice, yea, I think they look great together. Love the grain sack ones, Jean
ReplyDeleteI LOVE pillows and am in the process of making all new ones for my new (old) house, (old furniture too)! I thing your pick is beautiful, love the florals with the grainsack and the blue and white is the icing on the cake!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Pendra
YES! They ALL work;) I like the grainsack with the blue stripe paired with a something a little more dressy or colorful. The floral works perfectly. Congratulations getting those walls done! I know how difficult these house upgrades are.. I am STILL finishing my kitchen family room. Can't wait to be finished with it!! The paint takes forever to dry in the cold weather and I've learned that the wood really dried out over time so lots of paint layers are required.

Your new pillows are beautiful! They look wonderful on your sofa.
ReplyDeletethey look awesome together, mary alice!
ReplyDeleteI think you were absolutely successful! I love the floral pillows with the grain sack ones ... and the addition of the blue one is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteOnce you cut off the tags, it's a felony to bring them back. Right?! I think you're safe, though, because they all work together beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI think you did great! The blue floral one looks like a companion fabric to the floral ones and the grain sack ones add a new dimension and coordinate wonderfully with the others! They really jazz up the whole sofa! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteHi Mary Alive!!
ReplyDeleteThe colors blend so well with the others.
You did a great job!!!
Pam
I love the blue striped pillows. They are so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteMy man asks me: ''What is that with women and pillows?'' I say: ,,The same thing as with shoes''. He said: ,,I shouldn't have asked!'' :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely pillows Mary Alice! :-)
Nice.
ReplyDeleteoh they work! I may have a slight pillow obsession. I love to change the look with pillows.so there may possibly be pillows on every piece of furniture in my house.
ReplyDeleteYour pillows are perfect, Mary Alice! Just the right touch to 'brighten up' your couch!
ReplyDeleteAbsolute success. I think the grain sack stripe balances out the floral pattern of the others.
