I've been working on incorporating some simplifying techniques
into my decorating this winter.
You all probably know by now this is no easy task for me...I'm
a collector and I love all things vintage!
I know, I know... the white berries look very faux,
but for some reason I love them.
Combining different elements and textures of mostly whites can be
classified as simplicity...don't you think?
Having to add some color to the mix must be in my DNA...
because a little touch of red keeps popping up.
Green and white are a great combination too.
With a teeny tiny bit of red...of course!
My simple white vignettes are keeping it light and bright inside
during these cold and sometimes dreary winter months.
Hope you're having a good day,
Mary Alice

ReplyDeleteI love your berries! Everything looks vintagey but very fresh and pretty. Not an easy thing to do...it's very cold here and looks like it's staying that way. Keep warm!
ReplyDeleteLove the mirrors, they are unique. Love all the little touches.

ReplyDeleteHave a great week :o)

I love them too. Don't worry because if you love them then they are meant to be. You are the one looking at them every day. :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty vignettes, Mary Alice! I love your touches of red. It seems to have slipped into some of my areas as well.
ReplyDeleteMary Alice, every vignette is just simple and pretty. When I first saw the white berries I thought how pretty just adding that little branch in. Don't look faux at all.
ReplyDeleteLove your collection of pretty mirrors, Mary Alice. Red is popping into my decor also and I'm really liking it. Your touches of red look great with your whites.
ReplyDeleteFarmhouse hugs,
Cindy
Your winter whites look beautiful!! Love all your pretty vignettes!

Pretty little vignettes Mary Alice.
ReplyDeleteI am laughing, because every time I try to do the all white, a bot of red and green pops up as well.
Cheers, Gee
So pretty! I love those mirrors!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a simple, elegant touch to everything you arrange, Mary Alice! It always looks wonderful. I have heard that every room should have a little red "something". Makes sense!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Looks great!! I love the simple look...but have a hard time doing it too. Once a collector, always a collector :)

It all looks fresh and bright and that's just what we need while we wait for spring to arrive!
ReplyDeleteThe white berries are beautiful. I think they look pretty natural. You know I'm always crazy about your vignettes but this one is a particular favorite because you know how much I love ironstone. There's so much you can do with white. I use the same pieces over and over from room to room and have so much fun! I'm not quite ready for spring since it's been unseasonable warm here in Georgia. So I am enjoying all your sweet white:)
ReplyDeleteI have a huge soft spot for mirrors and your is no exception! Beautiful!! I am currently working on a vignette of mirrors on a mantel as we speak....you have only inspired me more!! Beautiful, bright and white! LOVE it! Roxie
ReplyDeleteSo serene and beautiful...and I like the little pops of color, too - especially in the starkness of winter!
ReplyDeleteThose mirrors are one of my dreams to have. Must "have".
ReplyDeleteI know white is absolutely a fave at D´Box (what I call my home).
I am s happy to find you.
Happy TTT and enjoy your week ahead.
Greetings from a freezing Stockholm,

ReplyDeleteMary Alice, I'm so glad that I found your blog! I love all the vignettes especially the one with the footed bowl with the handles, where did you find such a stunning piece and is it ironstone? I think I have some envy building up here.
