Do you love this color combination as much as I do?
Lavender and green remind me of Spring.
What was the Groundhog Day verdict...
six more weeks until Spring?
Let's hope so!
You all are so sweet to take time out of your day to visit!
Thank you,
Mary Alice

Mary Alice,
ReplyDeleteI love the color combos in your post. So pretty.
Kris
Mary Alice,
ReplyDeleteYour photos make me swoon. What wonderful colors, and I'm not even a big purple fan! The lavender and the green are restful and do remind me of spring! Beautiful vignette, all atop a gorgeous chippy table!
Love. It.
That is such a beautiful vignette! The color combo is stunning!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it as much as you do! Especially the way you've done it here, had never thought about it before. I even called my husband over to look at it. Of course he immediately remembered seeing a table similar to yours somewhere that he thought was in too bad condition to buy. I said, "But that's what is pretty now! Remember that!"
ReplyDeleteThe only things I have in those colors that I can think of right off hand are the two celadon green plates in my bathroom and a small jar where the glass looks like lavender. I have got to search my cupboards for more. Lovely!
Very pretty and reminds me of spring:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vignette.....love those lavender bottles!

I have loved this combination for years and years...since junior high...the colors are opposites on the wheel and they look great together. I love the softness of these examples
ReplyDeleteI DO love this color combo because I have fabrics for a quilt in just this range come to think of it! :) Love your photos!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and feminine colors! I love them together.
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely! sigh...

Beautiful! Your vignette and photo's are so lovely... that platter and soft green frame are lovely with the lavender bottles! My Mother's room is lavender and green and even in the dead of winter, on the coldest nights with the wind blustering and whistling... that room feels like Spring. She is gone now but when I go home to visit I get to stay in her room and it even smells like Spring!

The lavender color mixed with the green is a beautiful combination. The lavender plate that you use is beautiful. I would buy that in a minute and use it as you have.

This is one of my favorite color combinations. I just love the soft heathery lavenders. Those bottles are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteDeborah
I love these colors on their own and partnered, they are stunning! They really do look like spring. I sure hope that there's only 6 weeks left -I have the beginnings of spring fever and if it breaks out into a full-blown case, I'm not sure what might happen! Thank you for always posting such lovely things to look at and be inspired by! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteIt's a very pretty color combo. I can't say I have ever used it in my home, but know I'm wondering why. I may be that I fixate on pale blue and green come spring. Maybe this year I should change it up!
ReplyDeleteI do like the mix of lavendar and green. You're right. It is a very Springy look! I remember many years ago going into a model home and seeing the kitchen done in those colors too. I had never seen that color combo before but fell in love with it. They incorporated vegetables in the mix and it just flowed so nicely.
ReplyDeleteLovely new inspirations. Thanks for sharing

Dear Mary ALice,
ReplyDeleteOh yes perfect match color, especially with lavender. stunning really do!

Love lavender bottles. Someone once told me that there are certain bottle that when put in the sunlight, turn purple. PRETTY! And where on earth did you find the purple and green transferware. Beautiful vignette as usual.
ReplyDeleteI love the demi-lune table that you used for your vignette. Perfect distressing on it, lending itself to the charm of the lavender bottles. I see clear and I see blue but rarely the lavender ones. Mixed with green and I couldn't agree more! Perfect combination!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!! Love the lavender/green combo :) The photos -the whole setting is divine. Perfect! ~Pernilla
ReplyDeletepretty little grouping, mary alice:) love the chippy bkgd too!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a thing that is lavender but I love what you've done with your bottles! I'm hoping I have lavender to cut this year. If not I need to buy some because mine is falling apart. Enjoy your weekend
ReplyDeleteMary Alice, from your first picture my mind went directly to Spring. Love, love those gorgeous bottles. My bedroom was lavender all through high school. My oldest daughter has decorated her bedroom in purple and green from the time she was married. We call it eggplant. Sounds kind of funky. She recently added a bit of grey for a new pop. Really worked well. I love your vignette and that table and door, oh my! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
So beautiful Mary Alice,
ReplyDeleteI am so looking forward to the lavender I transplanted in my yard, I can then see how successful I was :)
Your lavender bottles inspire the beauty of the scent of lavender all the way over here.
Love the chippy table such a calmness to the old.
Thank you for your beautiful visit, your a welcoming sight.
Hearts, hugs and kisses this fine February

Mary Alice--This post brought tears to my eyes--good ones. My Mom had her bath decorated in the very shade of green and lavender! The two sinks were even decorated with small lavender flowers. She loved those colors and had touches of green and lavender everywhere. Thanks so much for the memories!
ReplyDeleteHugs from the Farmhouse!

Lavender reminds me of my Grandma whose name was Violet and whose birthstone was amethyst ( and it was her favourite colour ), so naturally I love purple - all shades. :-) Thanks for inspiring such happy memories!
